DIVA Conducted a Residential Environment Improvement Project in Buknae-myeon, Yeoju2021-03-18

On March 2nd and again on March 5th, Daejin International Volunteers Association (DIVA) conducted residential environmental improvements on a communal living room and a fitness room, which belong to Serim Housing in Buknae-myeon, Yeoju City, on two occasions. Serim Housing is a welfare facility that provides three years of protection to low-income single-parent households. It helps those households build a foundation for self-reliance and fosters the development of healthy families through basic livelihood support, education, job counseling, and various other programs. The living rooms used by youngsters were renovated with new wallpaper, new floor coverings, LED lighting, and others. Wallpaper and floorboards were replaced in the fitness room because the walls and floors had grown moldy due to excessive moisture. Each housing unit was thoroughly cleaned to create a comfortable living environment.
